How can data journalism push transparency in the society forward and be a needle in the eye for authorities to open up more data? With the insights from last year NODA Award winning innsyn.no and this years nominee Finn Parliament Visit Log and other similar initiatives we discuss the role that journalists can have in using the freedom of information laws (FOI) and public service information EU directive (PSI) to get access to more data for journalistic purposes and how to make that data more open and available to all.
