Mecodify: A tool for extracting data from Twitter

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Learn how to use Mecodify, an open-source tool that allows you to extract, analyze and visualise Twitter data as well as download datasets locally for importing into any social network analysis and visualisation software as well as more well-known spreadsheet tools. Additionally, there will be a section towards the end of this session to learn how to use Kumu to visualise Twitter data (mentions or responses) that were obtained from Mecodify. Apart from social network analysis to find the most influential and well-connected nodes, the session will illustrate how to visualise the data as well for easier understanding of the dynamics of those relationships.

The session will be purely hands-on so there is no presentation. However, to get started, you may want to check the Mecodify user manual as well as the official Kumu documentation.
